HDI acquired this Monte Sereno property in September 2013 for ground-up residential redevelopment. After securing approval to demolish the existing residence, HDI developed a custom single-story Carmel-style home, blocks from downtown Los Gatos. Completed in 2014, the four-bedroom, three-and-one-half-bathroom residence offered approximately 3,016 square feet of living space and an attached two-car garage. A grand iron entry led to interiors featuring solid alder doors, wide-plank walnut hardwood floors, high, vaulted ceilings, and abundant natural light. The chef’s kitchen incorporated custom cabinetry, Taj Mahal granite countertops, Thermador appliances, a large center island, and a walk-in pantry within an open kitchen-and-great-room plan. The property was completed with a private, professionally landscaped backyard. HDI sold the finished residence in November 2014, approximately 14 months after acquisition, completing the full development cycle from acquisition and entitlement through demolition, construction, and disposition.
